You know it's Christmas time in Timmins when the Sons of Maxwell are playing to sold-out audiences.

For the 10th-consecutive year, the popular recording artists -- consisting of Timmins' own talented brothers Dave and Don Carroll -- returned to town to host their annual Christmas concert.

Dave Carroll  is set to release his Solo Album this spring. Best known for his vocal collaberations (in Sons of Maxwell) with his handsome sibling Don Carroll, the master song writer is about to showcase a new dimension of his talent all on his own. Audiences everywhere are destined to be wildly impressed!

The first release concert/event is scheduled for Thursday March 6, 2008 in Daves' home town of Timmins Ont. A second concert is set for Thursday March 13 at Casino Nova Scotia's Schooner Room.

Just before the band set off to China in April, CBC television in Halifax came out to Waverley to do a profile on volunteer firefighting using Don and Dave Carroll, a.k.a. Sons of Maxwell, as the focus.

Don and Dave are proud to announce the release of the first ever Sons of Maxwell songbook. Titled "The Road And The Miles" this songbook contains the lyrics, melody lines and guitar chords for all of the 44 S.O.M. original songs recorded by the band, including Deli Cat and their new Drinkin' Fightin Fool. All the songs were carefully transcribed by well known Halifax musician, songwriter and arranger Scott MacMillan to the keys in which the songs were recorded, using easy to play guitar chords.
